We are delighted to announce that Bindu Kongara, one of our sponsored student, graduated in April 2016 from PVP Siddartha Institute of Technology, Vijayawada and got a job at Cyient Ltd, Hyderabad as GIS engineer. Cyient is Indian company focused on engineering, networks and operations, has 12,000+ employees across 38 global locations with annual revenues of 430 million USD in 2015 Bindu comes from an agricultural family of four. Family has agricultural assets, but those assets do not yield much recurring income to support the family along with her expensive college education. She was referred to us in 2012 by one of our sponsored student, who graduated in 2010 and knew Bindu through family connections. Bindu went to local Zilla Parishad School in village for 10th grade, secured 95% score, and went to local private college for Intermediate where she secured 92%. She scored 10,393 rank in EAMCET 2012, the entrance test for engineering colleges; but unfortunately narrowly missed to become eligible for full tuition fee reimbursement (below 10,000 rank). We had stepped in and provided scholarship of ₹1,00,000 to supplement govt. tuition reimbursement. Bindu worked hard through college and succeeded in securing a job right out of college, which is quite an achievement in an increasingly demanding job market in a tough economy.
