We are delighted to announce that one of our sponsored student, Madhusudana Rao Pothala graduated from prestigious NIT, Durgapur with Master of Computer Applications (MCA) this summer and immediately placed in Intellect Design Arena Ltd, Chennai. IDA Ltd. is a Polaris Group company headquartered in India with 125 million USD annual revenue and 4000 employees all over the globe Madhusudan is younger son in a family of five from outskirts of Srikakulam town. His parents run a tea stall by road side with an approx income of ₹1,00,000 per year. Madhusudan finished 10th grade from a local municipal school, intermediate from a local private college and graduated Bachelors in Science from APRDC, Nagarjuna Sagar a government run residential college. Family was happy that their son got 689 rank in All India entrance exam for admission in to MCA; but was struggling to pay for the expenses in a national institute that doesn’t offer tuition fee reimbursement. Family lost majority of income from the tea stall due to road expansion and was burdened with recent marriage expenses of elder sister and medical expenses for father.

We have come to know of Madhu in July 2013 through Harinath Mallepally garu of TMAD. Although the amount he requested exceeded our policy, we made an exception considering academic performance, family’s economic situation and lack of eligibility for tuition fee reimbursement program. Over the next three years, we offered him ₹1,12,000 scholarship to cover for tuition fee for six semesters.
Madhu worked hard, earned cumulative GPA of 7.4 through the course and earned an internship at Polaris Chennai during campus interviews. At the end of the tenure, Polaris offered him a permanent position based on his performance as an intern.
