TeluguPeople Foundation is pleased to offer 61st scholarship of ₹ 40,000 to Sai from Vijayawada to pursue B Tech in VR Siddhartha Engineering College, Vijayawada

Sai secured GPA of 9.3 in 10th class, 96% in Intermediate and obtained a rank in 13,000s in EAMCET 2016. Parents are daily wage workers. Family owns little assets and live in rental house. Family was financially stable and were able to support single child until couple of years ago, when father fell sick with Liver Cirrhosis. Family spent all savings for father’s surgeries and medical bills and went in to debt at a critical time for Sai’s age and career.

Sai has achieved awards in Chess and Kho-Kho. He is determined to succeed despite of the economic hurdles, has taken up to part time job to pay for his ₹ 1,02,000 tuition fee per year. We have stepped in and contributed a bit to alleviate some burden and give him some assurance.
